What do The Lone Ranger (Clayton Moore), Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Graham Parsons, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, the Jackson Five, Dolly Parton, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick, Kid Rock, Marty Stuart, Bob Dylan, Little Jimmie Dickens, the Osmonds, U.S. Presidents, and all three Hank Williams have in common? They have all been wardrobed by the "Rhinestone Rembrandt", Nashville's own, Manuel Cuevas. Enjoy our short interview with this multi award winning fashion designer in his shop. Check out Manuel's new American apparel line information right here : http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/manuel-s-new-vision-the-future-of-american-apparel

On the day we filmed this episode we got news that another great country icon and legend, George Jones, the Possum, passed away. In his memory, we show one of his most recent duets with friend of our show and talented musician, Eric Lee Beddingfield. Enjoy this live clip of Eric's song "The Gospel According to Jones" and watch the full production video with George Jones on vocals and making a special guest appearance by clicking here or by going to our "Friends Videos" tab above.

Born September 12, 1931, Jones is regarded among the most important and influential singers in American popular music history. He was the singer of enduring country music hits including “She Thinks I Still Care,” “The Grand Tour,” “Walk Through This World With Me,” “Tender Years” and “He Stopped Loving Her Today,” the latter of which is often at the top of industry lists of the greatest country music singles of all time.

MEMPHIS BLUES ERIC HUGHES & COUNTRY SOUL FROM LONEY HUTCHINS

(S03, Ep03 / March 2013) - Incredible music from our friend and blues man Eric Hughes making a direct visit from Memphis, TN to our VivaNashvilleUSA studio. Performing exciting songs from his current CD's available at www.EricHughesBand.com and other outlets. Eric Hughes Band's live show is unforgettable. Whether Hughes leaps onto your table to blow harp, or if you simply want to dance a slow one with your baby, Eric Hughes has been called by Blues Revue "guaranteed crowd-pleasers..." Winner of the Memphis Blues Society's "Battle of the Blues", Eric and company have been belting out their fun and rowdy blues to Beale Street visitors since 2001.

Also featuring country music favorite "Timber Tree" from our friend Mr. Loney Hutchins at his above par restaurant and music venue "The Whippoorwhill" in Gallatin, TN. Some of the best food in town !! "My Tennessee Hills" is a true document of American heritage. Loney Hutchins (Sr.) was born into poverty in the Appalachia hills during the 1940's with one foot in Tennessee and the other in Virginia. The struggle of growing up in this part of the world is a theme throughout all of his songs, save for the occasional love ballad, of course. It is of little coincidence Hutchins could see Clinch Mountain from his bedroom window as a young boy. This cultural heritage is inescapable in his music. It's in his blood. Years later, a chance run in with June Carter Cash lead to an audition with husband, Johnny. This landed Hutchins a job working for House of Cash and he eventually became manager of the label's publishing end, assembling the entire catalog into one book and, serving as pitch man for these songs to such luminaries as Chet Atkins, Owen Bradley and, Billy Sherril. He also had some of his own songs cut by both Johnny and Tommy Cash (the latter of which, "You Still Have That Look In Your Eyes" is included on this album, recorded for the first time by Hutchins).

Following his years with House of Cash, Hutchins started his own publishing label, Appalachia Music, charting independently on both Cashbox and Billboard. In the 80's, a new calling lead him to do pioneering work in the field of music therapy with head injury sufferers, a field he continues to work in to this day. Having amassed a life time's worth of material, Hutchins finally recorded this new compilation with son, Loney John, a young producer/engineer in Nashville. "My Tennessee Hills" features a cast of musicians that have played with such artists as Charlie Louvin, Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy, Lambchop, Bobby Bare Sr. and, others. "My Tennessee Hills" is a must for any fan of traditional country/bluegrass and a new beginning for a songwriter from another era.

Enjoy this special episode with special guest hosts: Marie Pizano (www.MVP3media.com) and actress/screenwriter/author/singer Riley Weston. Riley was an actress on "Who's the Boss" and "Growing Pains". She was a screenwriter for the hit series "Felicity". Her debut novel "Before I Go" was published in September 2006. The book earned Weston a 2007 Independent Publisher (IPPY) award for Storyteller of the Year.
It received the 2007 New York Book Festival Grand Prize as well as being named Best Fiction. Weston's debut single "If I Said Howdy to You" was released in late 2009.

What a fun interview and dinner with comedian Jimmy Labriola (Benny Baroni from ABC's "Home Improvement"). We also have an exclusive chat with our new friends and upcoming international boy band sensation "Contagious". Riley asks for a special demo from Voyage Air Guitar president, Jeff Cohen, showcasing his revolutionary folding travel acoustic guitar. Our award-winning songwriter friend, Dave Gibson, gives us all a demo on this guitar.

Dave Gibson landed a publishing deal with the Oak Ridge Boy's company and began co-writing with a series of hit makers. He started getting cuts by Conway Twitty, Steve Wariner, Joe Diffie, Confederate Railroad, Tanya Tucker, Marie Osmond, Tammy Wynette, Alabama, Pam Tillis, and Montgomery Gentry. He earned six number ones. Then he formed the Gibson Miller band with famed Bob Seger band guitar player, Blue Miller, and scored multiple top ten hits as well as a coveted Academy of Country Music Award for New Vocal Group or Duo in 1994. They landed a song on "The Cowboy Way" with Keifer Sutherland and Woody Harrelson.

Our deepest thanks to each and everyone of our guests for sharing their talents and allowing us to step into their world to share it with you, our fans. THANKSGIVING DAY SPECIAL / INDIE FILM TRAILER PREMIERE & DVD-CD RELEASE PARTY

(S02, Ep14 / Oct.-Nov. 2012) - Crash a private house concert with a cowgirl, a diva, and a shameless hussy. Otherwise known as: Becky Hobbs, Benita Hill, and Kacey Jones performing their signature self titled boogie woogie song by the same name.

Two number one songs by Garth Brooks and she's not even country! In the world of jazz, Benita Hill's one-two punch is hitting its mark. The former background singer for the Allman Brothers Band released her first critically acclaimed CD "Fan the Flame" and established herself as a silky-voiced stylist and hit songwriter. Her songs have been recorded by Isaac Hayes and Kirk Whalum, among others. Hill has shared the stage with such jazz/pop luminaries as Boney James, Chuck Mangione, and Yolanda Adams, to name a few.

Becky Hobbs has recorded seven studio albums, and has charted multiple singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including the #10 hit "Let's Get Over Them Together", a duet with Moe Bandy. Besides her work as a solo artist, Hobbs has also written for several country and pop acts such as Helen Reddy, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Shelly West, Ken Mellons "Rub-a-Dubbin", and Alabama's 1994 single "Angels Among Us".

Kacey Jones is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and humorist. After co-writing the Mickey Gilley hit "I'm the One Mama Warned You About", she found her success as a performer through the band Ethel & The Shameless Hussies. After releasing her first solo album through Curb Records, she founded her own label, IGO Records, co-founding the Kinkajou Records label with Kinky Friedman, and created two publishing houses - Zamalama Music and Mamalama Music. She has produced music for the TV series, Sordid Lives. Her original song, "Cold Turkey" was recorded by David Allan Coe on CBS Records.

On to our fun party at Belcourt Taps. We include some footage of our popular indie film short premiere "Indian Creek Run" (watch it here at: http://www.indian-creek-run.com/). This party was to celebrate Charlie Wayne Morrill's recent DVD documentary and double CD release. 2 new CD's & 1 new DVD rockumentary produced by John D Griffin. Charlie performed a great bluesy and acoustic set of his songs at this special event with special guests. Also featuring music from Dave Nooe & the Zombie Thriller Band (watch them on a future episode). Share the gift of Music City, USA.

We also follow up with Ron Anderson to see some of his latest paintings from his "Trail of Tears" series.

We also dig into our vaults for footage of Nicole Johnson (as seen on NBC's The Voice team Blake Shelton / current 2012 season). She sings her beautiful original song with Paul Taylor on guitar (guitarist for Steve Perry, Winger, and Alice Cooper ).  Then we pay a short visit to the set of VivaNashVegas where our producer, John D Griffin, debuts his original song "Love of the Week" live. We round up the show with a night out on the town. Another stroll down Broadway and a typical day in Music City, USA. You should join us downtown sometime :)
