CINCO DE MAYO block party with Frank Ortega / new CD release party for the Soul Circus Cowboys

Ep.4 / S04 (May 2014) - We love the month of May and Memorial Day. A warm salute to our troops and true heroes!

There were so many birthdays, festivals, and holidays to enjoy. Our friends Stu and Huw even payed us a visit from Wales! We had a fun time with friends Mick and Lacey from VRadio Nashville at Frank Ortega's show and block party celebrating Cinco de Mayo as he played new songs.

Our featured guests invited us to their smoking hot CD release party at the Rutledge where they served up some new singles. Billy McKnight and his
SOUL CIRCUS COWBOYS are one band to reckon with. Watch them perform their new single "That's The Way We Roll". We first heard them on the radio a couple of years ago with their cool single titled "Love's Like a Rodeo".

We also made it out to a very entertaining Tennessee Renaissance Festival to watch jousting knights and sword fights. You can join in on the fun and watch our exclusive behind the scenes plus a tour through a castle on a previous episode of www.VivaNashvilleUSA.com.

RAIDERS OF ROCK interview / Chuckstock Music Celebration / Nashville's Ice Hockey team THE PREDATORS

Ep.3 / S04 (April 2014) – Rockologist Kevin Smith talks about the Nashville scene, his part in CMT's new series "Raiders of Rock", and Pink Floyd's pig with our guest host Briana Kidwell. Watch Smashville's own ice hockey team in action. Enjoy music from Chuckstock.

We have been enjoying watching CMT's new series RAIDERS OF ROCK and are proud of our friend, Kevin Smith, for his crucial and fun role in each episode. He recently gave us the opportunity to catch up with him on a beautiful day at the Parthenon and talk about this new show and the Nashville music scene.

Enjoy live music from
CHUCKSTOCK as we celebrate and honor the memory of our friend Chuck Jones. Check out these clips from 12th and Porter with our friends (from previous episodes) Eric Lee Beddingfield who has a hit song he recorded with George Jones "The Gospel According to Jones". Chuck Jones used to play bass guitar for Eric. Charlie Wayne Morrill also had Chuck Jones as the bass player for his rock band Platinum Rose. Charlie's new band MORRILL SMITH put on a great show. We are also joined by Chuck's roomates and friends Jerry Sanders with Terry "Rawdawg" Manners as they play some of Chuck's favorite songs. We also get a chance to meet and honor Chuck's parents.

Enjoy a few video clips from Nashville's own ice hockey team THE PREDATORS at the Bridgestone arena from a recent game we attended with friends of the show. That was one fun evening.

Thanks for joining us. There are more fun filled episodes below. Tell your friends about us and feel free to share your art/music posts on Twitter @VivaNashville and also on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Vivanashvilleusacom/516298708388837

MAN IN BLACK Johnny Cash tour : The Whippoorwill and The Cash Cabin recording studio Keeping it Country

Ep.2 / S04 – MAN IN BLACK special. Featuring NEW footage from stops along the way on the 2014 Johnny Cash tour from Nashville, TN : The Cash Cabin and The Whippoorwill.

Meet Johnny Cash's friend
Loney Hutchins as we pay him a visit at his restaurant, music venue, and art gallery THE WHIPPOORWILL in Gallatin, TN. Loney performs one of his songs with the help of lovely musicians and friends, Benita Hill and Kacey Jones as seen on previous episodes of our show at Viva Nashville USA.

We truly enjoy his good company, music, and great art. His life experiences and musical knowledge are deeply fascinating. It's no wonder that he's part of the Johnny Cash tour. You can find out more and hear him play Johnny Cash songs at The Whippoorwill. We'll miss that place!

Our friend and host of the show Briana Kidwell invited us out to listen to some of her new upcoming songs being recorded at the CASH CABIN STUDIO in Hendersonville, TN. It was a great time visiting such a cool historical site with top notch talented musicians, such as: Dave Roe on bass (Johnny Cash, Dwight Yokam, John Mellencamp) and Kenny Vaugh on guitar (Lucinda Williams, Marty Stuart). We love Briana's tunes and can't wait to hear the final mix. Stay tuned for more right here.

Johnny Cash built the original cabin in 1978. It was then, as it is now, a place to find solace and make music. In 1993, while in production for the first of AMERICAN RECORDINGS CD’s,produced by Rick Rubin, Johnny had recording gear installed.

The studio is now owned and operated by his son, John Carter Cash (who's been on a previous episode of our show). The Cash Cabin sits on forty-acres of woods and fields. John Carter raises European Fallow Deer on the property. There is also a large fishing pond stocked with Large-Mouth Bass, Bream, and Catfish.

Previous artists who've recorded include: Johnny Cash, June Carter Cash, Del McCoury Band, Merle Haggard, George Jones, John Prine, Ronnie Dunn, Earl Scruggs, Elvis Costello, Loretta Lynn, Vince Gill, Marty Stuart, Pat McLaughlin, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Tanya Tucker, Eddie Money, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Eric Hamilton Band, Bela Fleck, Larry Gatlin and The Galtin Brothers, Kellie Pickler, Dave Edmunds, and many more. Plus visitors Dolly Parton, Steve Earle, Joaquin Phoenix, Taylor Swift, Reese Witherspoon, and others. Find out more at www.johncartercash.com/page5 and tell 'em Viva Nashville recommended you.

WITH GUEST HOST BRIANA KIDWELL

Ep. 1 / S03 (Jan. 2014) - Happy Valentine's Day special from VivaNashvilleUSA.com. Featuring the queen of bluegrass, Rhonda Vincent discussing her new 2-Disc set with a mixture of Bluegrass & Country songs plus duets with Willie Nelson and Daryle Singletary.

Five-time Grammy nominee Rhonda Vincent, the new Queen of Bluegrass as deemed by the Wall Street Journal, also mentions her duets with Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and growing up with her musical family in Missouri. The project, appropriately titled "ONLY ME", serves as a reminder why Rhonda Vincent & The Rage is the most awarded band in bluegrass music. "ONLY ME" is available where all music is sold as of January 28, 2014 and also on Rhonda's website http://rhondavincent.com/.

"The Bluegrass pickers on this song are some of the best that I have ever heard. When I think of Bluegrass, this is the sound that I hear," says Willie Nelson. "Rhonda's voice is beautiful. I am thankful for her letting me be a part of it all." We'd like to thank Rhonda for a wonderful time and a fun interview. We thoroughly enjoy her new 2-CD release.

We also catch up with special friend of the show and previous co-host, Rhinestone queen, Briana Kidwell. She talks about her upcoming recording and work with the Nashville Songwriters Association. Fans of our show will recognize some of our clips with Briana at our friend, fashion couture designer, MANUEL's previous store.
